Interview with Sylvain le Hen
How did you get started ?
I was working a lot for fashion shows as a hairstylist in Paris, NY, Milan...and I was looking everywhere around the world for some good hair accessories to create new hairstyles with and I couldn’t found any so I decided to create my own accessories.
Where do you find your inspiration? and how as this changed over time since you began to design ?
I draw a lot, and I love to read magazines and books on architecture. I still make all my prototypes which is an essential part of the development process form.
What is your hope for the future of your industry ?
I hope to continue growing the company with the same dream team, taking a fresh look at the responsibilities of manufacturing . We have already started by working with suppliers and manufacturers close to home, and staying true to Made in France.
What is your main source of calm during these stressful times ?
I have a house in Brittany on the west coast of France and I love to take a walks on the wild coast whatever the weather, the wind, the sun, the storm... It's like a meditation session.
