Hannoh Wessel
German-born designer Hanno Wessel studied at the École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne before spending years in haute couture — an education that never left him. He launched his label in 1994 to immediate acclaim, landing in Henri Bendel, Galeries Lafayette, and IF SoHo from the start. In 2015, he founded H+ Hannoh Wessel in partnership with skilled artisans in Italy, where the entire collection is now produced. Paris remains his design home; Italy, his second.
The result is clothing with an almost impossible balance: impeccably tailored yet effortlessly relaxed, rooted in structure but soft in spirit. Wessel works exclusively with natural fabrics — washed linens, fine cottons, lightweight wools — often hand-finished for depth and texture. Silhouettes are fluid and generous, with a utilitarian undercurrent and the quiet confidence of something designed to last. Military references surface with restraint, adding geometry without severity. This is slow fashion in the truest sense: investment pieces built for a wardrobe, not a season.
